Al Zimmer leads this class on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Class discussion follows the viewing of video segments and presentations by Al on topics from the book Understanding the Dead Sea Scrolls by Hershel Shanks.

The first Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin shepherd in 1947 and are considered among the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century. The Scrolls cover the period between 250 BC and 68 AD. They include the complete book of Isaiah and manuscripts that reflect on early Christian thinking.

What does their discovery mean to us? How does it affect our Old and New Testament?
