Walk up to or drive by the serving tables near the east parking lot after worship and pick-up a meal to support CROP Hunger Walk. Members of the Outreach Team will prepare soup (choice of chicken noodle, chili, minestrone), bread, and dessert in to-go containers for a minimum suggested donation of $5. Cash, or checks made out to PSPC with 'Souper Sunday' in the memo line accepted. Help make this a SOUPER EVENT!
CROP Hunger Walks are community events throughout the United States sponsored by Church World Services and organized by local churches. 75% of the money raised goes to help fight hunger around the world and 25% goes to local hunger relief. Due to health concerns, this year’s CROP Walk is virtual...so everyone can participate!
CROP stands for the Christian Rural Overseas Program, which was active in the late 1940's and involved American Midwest farmers who donated food and seed to help feed the hungry in post WWII Europe and Asia. The historic name (CROP) was kept when the first CROP Walk was organized in the U.S. in 1969.
