In May and June, we are exploring the stories of those in the Bible who experienced isolation, quarantine and social distancing.
Today the focus of our Bible Study is the prophet Elijah. The Old Testament People considered Elijah to be the foremost of prophets, because of the mighty works he did in the name of the Lord God. Most folks can remember that Elijah was the one who went up to heaven in a chariot of fire.
One of my favorite Old Testament passages is I Kings 17, the story of the Prophet and the Widow.
I hope you enjoy, learn, and are inspired by my interpretation and commentary this week.
