This is special service of hope and comfort for those who have recently lost a loved one or feel sadness and loss this time of year. The service will be conducted by Transitional Pastor Ted Land, with candle lighting by participants in memory of loved ones.
The service is traditionally held on the Winter Solstice, December 21, and is also called Longest Night Service. Palma Sola Presbyterian has conduct this service in Palma Sola Botanical Park for several years. This year, the service will be held in the Galleria, the building with the big front porch visible from the parking area.
Palma Sola Botanical Park is located next to the north entrance of Robinson Preserve at 9800 17 th Ave NW, Bradenton. From 6 pm to 9 pm on December 20, 21 and 22, Palma Sola Botanical Park is hosting Winter Nights Under the Lights, a stroll through gardens illuminated by colorful lights.
