Today we celebrate the first day of Advent by lighting the Hope candle in the Advent wreath, and completing decoration of the Sanctuary. Wreaths and Chrismons are hung, poinsettias placed, and window candles lit, while the stories of these traditions are told. The Choir sings acapelo. Following the service, there's a pot luck luncheon in the Fellowship Hall; guests are welcome!
