Wednesdays at 2:00 – 3:00 pm
April 21 – May 26
Location to be announced
This class will explore four major world religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism—and compare the beliefs of each with those of Christianity.
In examining these religions, we learn to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world, love our neighbors, and find positive ways to share the Gospel.
Leaders are Betty Bashaw and Marilynn Gillette. Resources to be used are the Bible and the Revised Edition of Christianity and World Religions by pastor and best-selling author Adam Hamilton. To sign up, please call or text Betty Bashaw at (863) 491-2156. You may order your own book online, or ask Betty to order a book for you for $15.00 by Friday, April 9th.
In the book, Hamilton deals openly and honestly with questions people ask about other religions, such as:
- Why are there many different religions?
- How should Christians view other religions?
- How is God at work in other religions?
- What is the fate of those who earnestly pursue God through other religions?
